Euros are go!

at last, they're on. No fun in this weather, that'll teach me to be too stubborn to wait for spring.

I have new trim panels that will be going on once the weather is warm enough to spray them.

I'm keeping my old orange indicators, so If anyone's interested in a new unused set of Depo clear corners with bulbs, let me know.

Actually what I like are the Euro orange corners. They are darker and do not have the reflective side strip in them.

speedy 300d-

those euro Bosch corners do look a lot better- where did you get yours?

Cigar Havana 01-24-2004 01:25 PM

Very Nice

Chazola, those look very nice.

How come you are not installing the clear corners?

Did you hook-up the vacuum too?

chazola 01-24-2004 01:48 PM

call me an oddball, but i actually quite like the orange corners.

didn't bother with the vacuum adjust, i had that feature on my old Peugeot and to be honest I used it about once.

For those of you thinking about getting euros, my advice is- do it!
I can actually see in the dark now, and if there's any of you out there that do a lot of driving on country roads, the high-beams are a 100% improvement! You'll be able to keep a nice steady speed without worrying about being able to see the next corner coming up.

thanks yal- I've ordered a pair, what a bargain! If only bosch main headlights were that cheap...

d2bernhard 01-26-2004 04:51 PM

Bekker's lists that 10 or more sets are $5 per set. Anyone interested in going in with me? I will take 2 sets for myself. I'll ship them out to you when I get them in -- probably $6-$7 for shipping US Mail in the US.

Looks like they're on backorder for 2-4 weeks now.

I have just installed DEPOs. I believe they sent me the wrong side light bulb, daytime running light, the small one in the headlamp assemble. What kind of bulb did you get? Was it bayonet mount

ello,

I got the wedge-type 'blue' side-light bulbs with my Depo's. I had gone and got clear ones before I got my lights, that were bayonet mount, only to find I needed wedge-mount once the lights arrived. Doh.

I was gonna wire in the sidelights, but it's so bloody cold out I'm gonna wait 'till it warms up a bit to fiddle with the wiring again.

Are they the Depo clear indicators you have on by the way? I'm sticking with my orange one's for now as i think I have to have the orange reflector here in PA by law.

How'd you get on installing them? I found the nut on the inside by the cooling fans and the weather proofing to be the biggest pain.

Have you driven with them/aligned them yet? what a difference!

d2bernhard 02-02-2004 07:35 PM

Chazola,

Do your Euro Dark orange sides have the same or similar reflectivity as the US Orange? Thanks!
