96 C280 Key Remote Control Failure?
 

Hi,

I may have a failed remote control key for 96 C280. Installed new batteries but the led still does not light or blink after holding the button down more than 5 secs. Tried resynchronizing the remote with no luck.

Is there a common mode failure or something simply that I can check on the remote.

The dealer cost for this remote is about $150.00 is there another source for the remote.

Does your other remote work? If yes then you must go to the dealer for the key, security reasons. If you do not have another remote then go to a an establishment with a Star Diagnosis System but they will suggest you order and try a new key first.
