part number for 1995 S320 wire harness

Looking at the parts shop, they do not reference a part number for the engine wire harness. Does anyone know what it is and how much they run?

I dont think fastlane carries them. Check the dealer and german auto parts in atlanta. The part number is over by the connetor on the r/h fenderwell, 90% of the time its on the ground wire. Last 140 harness I bought was around $400.00

Thanks for the reply,

I did a search within Tech Help and found a string under "engine wire harness" and Greenacres2 referenced a gentleman named "Phil"

How do I get in contact with him?:)

To Contact Phil, go to the top of this page and click on the FastLane button. It'll give you the contact information to reach him. He got me my engine wiring harness.

It may help if you first find the part number to your existing wiring harness. It's found on a white tag about a foot from the bulkhead connection of the engine wiring harness. It may avoid any confusion.

I may have to look at the wiring harness replacement for my 94 S320, how difficult is the job?

At this time it is a pesky Check Engine light that is the only thing manifesting itself, and from most of the posts I have read, where the harness has been replaced, other problems have cropped up... So....tell me how bad this problem is with my car...

Please?

I don't understand. I don't remember reading posts where problems came up after the engine wiring harness has been replaced. Usually problems went away after replacing the harness. It has been posted though, that bad wiring can ruin some sensitive electrical components.

If the S320 is same as the E320, then the job is not very tricky and should take around 2-4 hours.

I agree - usually a new wiring harness will get it running right again. My bad harness put the car in the limp home mode, in which it remained until the fault codes caused by the bad harness were cleared.
