Here's the information I have from when the transmission was replaced. If you need more, I can check next time I look under the car, but I don't know when that will be (hopefully not for a while! )

Thanks (and, ouch!). The fact that the trans has a 124 part number probably means that that type of linkage won't work in my bastardized set-up.

cornblatt, I knew there was a good reason why I made sure to buy a manual shifter! Thats nearly as much as I paid for my car...

I agree - the new manual transmission was super-expensive! Luckily, I didn't pay for it - the previous owner of the car did. When I bought the car, I received all of the service records dating back to the original purchase of the car, so I added them up. The result made me feel physically ill.

In the two years before I bought the car, the previous owner spent $14,991.75 US on repairs / maintenance. Since the car was new (8/28/84), he spent $37,944.56.

Lucky me - lots of new parts!
