Trunk access panels
 

I just bought my wife a 2001 C320 sedan without the folding rear seat. I notice that under the rear speakers, inside the trunk, are two oblong plastic panels. There is a groove so you can use your finger to pull them out. Inside it looks like some sort of a latch. Can anyone tell me what these are? Thanks from the new guy for any help.

I THINK YOU ARE REFERING TWO THE TWO BLACK COVERS UNDER THE REAR DECK?
IF SO THOSE ARE THE BAFFLES FOR THE REAR SUBS.

No, these are actually in the up and down divider between the seat and the trunk. If you pop one of them out you can see a latch of some kind on a spring. Any ideas? Thanks for the response.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY COULD BE?
MY CAR HAS ALL THE COMUNICATIONS (TELE AID, PHONE, GPS, ETC. ETC.) IN THAT SAME AREA UNDER A BLACK COVER. MAYBE THAT OR THE HEADREST MECHANISM.
