The only numbers you will need is the VIN number (same as the serial number) of the vehicle and the motor number. If you have any records of the car, you can find the motor number on the card in the back of the service book. The card contains all the codes for the vehicle.

Its the white card stapled to the back of your owners manual. If you need a translation, post the original words, and I will translate them for you...

If you have the manifest card in the back of the warranty book, the left column should have an entry that is entitle mtr. nr.

Additionally, the diesels and maybe most all engines have the motor number on the drivers side rear of engine, below the head, and above the oilpan rails.

    Good luck,

Did you try looking at the rear, drivers side of the engine?
