My Dad has a 1990 300E with less than 90K miles. It was sitting in my driveway yesterday and I noticed that it seemed to sit much lower in the front end than my "89 300E. A couple of quick measurements confirmed that it has about 2 inches less clearance from the road and less clearance from the fender well to the tire. It rides fine and drives fine (he's 75 so it doesn't get driven too hard) but it seems that the two cars should be the same.
Are we talking springs, shocks or both?? Thanks in advance.... |

Probably the spring pads. Search wheel and tire section for explanation on what they are and how to view them.
