I have recently developed a noise in what I beleive is the drivetrain. I hear a clicking noise from either the driveshaft or driveaxles or something. I cannot duplicate the noise if I support the car and put the car in gear and let the engine spin the drivetrain. The noise occurs at low speeds at from a standing stop and coasting uder 15 MPH. It it sometime very faint, other time loud and sometime it does not do it at all. When it makes the noise it will do it 5 - 6 times from a standing sart and stop then it will go away for a while 15 - 20 starts and then come back.

You have to short driveshafts that drive each wheel. Most of the time, one will cause the noise.

I have examined the axle shafts and it doesn,t look like anything is wrong with them. Would the problem be in the ball and cage assembly. Do i need to disassemble the car to examine the drive axles to inspect or should it be obvious the parts are worn.
