Turn signals quit.

I have recently developed a problem with my turn signals. I was in front of a store window the other day and decided to check my signals in the reflection of the window. every thing worked out Ok until later that night i realized that both my turnsignals had quit working. the arrows dont light up , there is no light on either four corners. What Happened?? fuses are OK, could it be the switch?? switch seems to be engaging and sounding ok.
any ideas appreciated
thanks

check your flasher

check your emergency flasher also..I had to spray mine with contact cleaner and my blinkers started working again..

Correct. Flasher relay controls all of it. Check it first.

WD-40, if you don't have contact cleaner.

As usual all of you are right on the money!!!

It was indeed the emergency flashers and i discovered it quite buy accident. I went to roll down my window this morning and accidentally hit the e flasher switch and presto trun signals spring back to life, i will clean the contacts immediatly.

Thanks for all the help!!

I spent around 20 years working in car dealership service departments finding car problems and repairing them for the customer. I no longer do it for a living, but i keep my wifes and my old mb's percolating. This is at least the third time that this forum has saved me from tearing one of these cars apart as I searched for a problem.
Instead I searched the forum and found this post that was the answer to my wifes car problem. (The rocker switch was partially switched which is a problem that I remember finding long ago. Brain cell deterioration I guess.)
Thank you bjcsc and GA-W123 !!!
