Test equipment - Misfire Analysis

I am interested in purchasing some type of scope or meter to analyze the engine on a w126 class car to determine which cylinder is misfiring. Also measuring duty cycle etc. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have been looking at a used Fluke 98 scope meter. (about US$850)

Are there any other low cost digital multi-meter (DMM) with a graphing capability that you can recommend?

There are a number of decent scopes for less than a Fluke 98, but the fluke might be the cheapest that does a decent ignition scope function. If you go to ebay another scope with maybe more ignition function is the Interro PDA100 I think.

As a real test scope the PC based pico scope is very impressive. It can about do it all with all the attachments for some real testing for a little over a grand: http://www.autonerdz.com/picokit.htm#_Here_is_what
