Well since im as particular about the engine as i am with the rest of the car i was wondering if you knew of any good products to put a nice black gloss on the engine,, Also looking to do the same with the air cleaner color? Also new ideas to update the look of the engine would be welcomed..Thanks everyone

I powder coated my valve cover.
 

It come out great! I paid $50. Well worth the money. Steve Brotherton saw my valve cover and he did like it. That should say a lot...:cool:
I was going to paint mine but I had to strip it, buy the materials, take the time to do it, paint it and the uncertanty of the end result. I opted for the "sure thing".

Where would i look for a competant place to do powder coating?

Go ask a good mechanic or a paint body shop for a referral!

I did like JH's valve cover and have since had one done myself. It is the way to go!

Powdercoating is most often used by the "HotRodding" sect. Find a vintage or streetrod club or supplier and they will know. It might even be in the yellow pages.

I would suggest that the inside baffling for the PCV system be removed. The first thing they do is bead blast the whole thing. It will get and stay everywhere and you don't want it getting back in your oil. I paid 65 for mine.
