Evan - look at Steve Brotherton's article and observe picture 10. You are supposed to put a dab of sealant at the ends of that u shaped gasket where it meets at the cylinder head. Did you do this during the installation?. I have not heard that about milling the top of the timing chain cover.

I read that article, which i found very very useful,,, and i will use it to fix the problem,, what i was confused about was that not putting 2 dabs of sealant on each end of that U gasket could cause a leak that would result in 1quart+ of oil leaking a day..
