I think I've asked this question before, but I don't think I did it clearly. Ok, here is my question:

Is it NORMAL for the rear wheels of a 190E to spin while up on a lift?

a. Car engine on
b. Transmission in "N"

I'm just curious if the rear wheels should be turning when shifter is in "N" while engine is ON when car is on a lift. The drive shaft (I think that's what it's called) was spinnig and so were the 2 rear wheels (spinning slowly).

I thought "N" means that the rear wheels should not spin at all. Anyhow, I just thought it was weird that that the weels should spin while in "N." I should note that once car wheels are touching the ground, wheels stop spinning and car stays put (unles if it's on an incline). Thanks.

Yes, it is normal. Even with no gears engaged, their will be enough friction in the trasnsmission to spin the wheels if there is no load: up in the air.
