Air Pump Removal / 1984 500

During top rebuild discovered smog [air] pump hoses were plugged and pump was siezed. Not required in MT so did not put it back on and plugged the hole in the block the hose fed into. Anything I need to be aware of in trying to set the idle without the air pump present? I put in a new O2 sensor. seem to be having trouble getting the idle to stabilize. Have replaced Idle control Module, Idle control Valve, fuel pump relay.

Anything one must do differently after removing smog pump?
Thank you.
