Shift lever switch [in park]
The last two day's when starting the car,all of the red dash lights came on but car would not start[ no starter engagement].But if i move the shift lever it starts with no problem. Is there a switch that must be engaged and if so how do i get to it?

Two likely suspects are shifter bushings and neutral safety switch. Switch is mounted on the left side of the tranny, the bushings are on the shift rod (correct term?). The switch shows as "not available " at Fast Lane, so call Phil there--he should be able to get it. Thirty dollars more or less. Shifter bushings should be a dollar or two total. Easier to put the bushing in while the switch is out anyway. Do a search on those two items, and there are some really good details on the job, better than i could write. Good luck

Left=driver's side. Where the shift rod connects to the lever. Tight working space, but not too bad. If you did the shifter bushings, you have been there.
