87 260E Starter or Ignition Problems
 

Hi All:

I had this problem twice in the past week. I would turn the key and nothing happens. No click, no whine absolutely nothing. Tried neutral and still nothing.

After persistantly turning the key for five minutes, it starts up like nothing was wrong. Starter sounds fine and turns the motor fine.

Am I looking for electrical in the ignition, or on the starter side.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just a little note that the problem is fixed. It ended up to be the ignition switch itself.
