headlight aim adjustment

call me dumb, but I'm having trouble getting the aim adjusted on my headlights. Passenger side is perfect, driver's side seems a bit too low. I've turned the adjustments both directions, but it doesn't seem to move. I know which turnscrew moves the foglight...
which direction should I be turning them to get the driver's side aimed a little more toward the passenger side? They are euro lights, don't have the vacuum hooked up yet, but that shouldn't affect my general aim should it? I'm the only passenger and as I said, the passenger's side aimed just right.

What vehicle? My car has an adjustment screw on the headlight unit.

Our mind reading skills are a bit weak here on mercedesshop. What year and model Benz are you working on?

Have a great day,

sorry, it was late...it's a 1989 190E 2.6 with new euro's

The Euro lights have a four pointed star shaped adjustment knob for vertical and another for horizontal. One will be down low and hard to see.

If nothing is happening when you turn it one way, turn it the other. When it reaches the end of its range it will not move the light beam.

If you have the owners manual, there should be a detailed adjustment instruction. It will involve positioning the car in front of a wall that you can mark with chalk or something.

Good luck,

Check out the tech section. It will tell you how to aim the lights properly.
