what tranny fluid to use in 92, 400e

Im a synthetic junkie when it come to fluids, Im planning on changing out the filter and fluid in the 400e with 180,000 miles on her, what is your opinion on the best fluid for her.

Whatever form of Dextron suits you best.

Dexron, Steve, no "T". DexronIII/Mercon to be exact. If you can find a synth that says it is "DexronIII/Mercon", go ahead and use it.

I used Wal*Mart brand DexronIII in mine and have had no trouble.

Many people use Mobil 1 ATF without any complaints - just comments about how well it works in cold climates. Synthetic ATF of any sort was never officially approved by MB, but I don't think anyone's had a problem using the syn fluid. I use Mobil 1 ATF in my tranny.
