While on my lunch break yesterday, I saw something that made my skin crawl: a mint-condition, clean, maroon-colored W123 300D turbo...with a SPOILER ON THE BACK! Please tell me MB never, but NEVER put spoilers on these cars, and that it was simply a misguided add-on!

-with tongue firmly in cheek,

Matt

Zoonhollis,

Has to be, as you properly charecterize, a misguided add on.

There is no car model that can totally escape the butcher's.

Have a great day,
Larry

Amazing how some people associate TURBO with the need for a SPOILER.

I have a TURBO shop vacuum.... last time I checked there was no spoiler on it and I doubt there ever will be a need unless one of 'those' guys get hold of it

I once saw a pic of a 123 with an airdam, it may be possible that some company made a spoiler for it too. I think it was a KBB? some sort of 3 letter company (Not AMG).
Rumor has it, Larry B. is going to have to put on wheelie bars on his 240D after replacing the clutch!

Yeah, the wheelie bars 'll be cool, but where can I get one of these spoilers?

I wish I could purchase a new C270 to put a spoiler on. Have ya'll read about that one. Sounds like an outstanding auto. I think there is a conspiracy going on with the oil companies to prevent high milage, high performance automobiles from being sold in the US. They like to see the sales of those Tahoes/Suburbans/Expeditions/Excursions I guess.
