Call me paranoid, but.... I'm taking a trip next week from Virginia to Michigan and back, and I'd like to take my '85 300D. I don't anticipate anything going wrong with the car along the way, but if it does, I'd like to know where to take it.

I will travelling by way of Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Chicago on the way up, and Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and Charleston, WV on the return (and all points in between).

If any of you would offer the names and numbers of reliable MB shops (dealers or
independents) in the vicinity of these places I'd be grateful. I've found a couple of good postings in the "Good MB Shops" forum but I'd like to fill in the cracks.

If in Detroit area and you need a good MBshop, call John & Holger Service Center in Eastpointe. They are a Bosch service center. Holger is German with a heavy duty accent and he really knows his stuff. Plus he won't charge you an arm and a leg.
