C230 raditor fan

Help, Help, The engine fan got jamed with a glove. I checked all the fuses(that i know of), relays, and they are all good. I put 12 volts to fan motor and it turns? any ideas.

Can you be a little more specific? What exactly is the problem? Is the fan not coming on when the air conditioner hits its pressure limits? I assume the fan is working fine if it turns when you apply voltage to it.

Like what year? W202 C230 1997-1998?

Pull the fuses to the instrument cluster. The car won't be able to read the coolant temp, default to 106C and engage the fan on high speed. If the fan does not come on, then you have a problem...

Mother in law factor. The fan got jamed against the shroud by a plastic glove. She said the car made a small noise and would shudder off and on.She contenuid to drive it to walmart, park at the front got out called me said there was no flat but the motor was smoking and smelled like rubber. AHHHH! . All the fuses are ok, both high speed and low speed relays are ok. 1998 C-230 mine as off yesterday(paid off , but cant drive). 37500 miles
Any ideas
