W124 (92) exterior plastic trim removal also carpet trim removal?

Ok I figured out how to get the outside trim off the doors.

Remove the screws at rear edge of door, undo clips on lower edge of door (Since I had never done this I poped them off the door from below, you can see them from below the door, pry the front and back of each clip and it will pop off the door panel) then the plastic panel does slide back its on keyway slots in the door.

Now how to get the lower trim off the rocker pannel. The section in the CD only covers plastic panels on the coupe and is criptic at best. I can see the 8mm bolts from under the car but what other attachments are used on the lower panel? Do I need to remove the plastic trim on the front and rear fenders? How do those pieces come off?

I'm also removing the cell phone mount a previous owner had installed. The carpeting trim panels on the center console dont come off the same as a w126? Do I really need to push a 1" piece of sheet metal between the carpet and center console in two places as depicted in the manual? (I'll build one at work on Monday when I can get some sheet metal)

Thanks for the help
Paul
