What harm, if any, will a noisy injector cause? I've isolated my "injector knock" to the #3 cylinder. If I were to replace all the injectors is there problem with all the
injectors not matching in spray pattern and operational pressure? Any other tips on this matter would be welcome! Thank You, Jack |
Jack, no problem in fixing only one injector. Be sure to replace the flame washer below the injector, and torque it back properly.
I've done it and saved a lot. Jake ------------------ Jake |
You may be able to have the injectors rebuilt. My understanding is that they are designed to be serviced. When they are serviced, the spray pattern and opening pressure are set to specs. Its much more reasonable in cost than replacing the injector. Any competent Bosch repair facility should be able to do it. Have them all done and marvel at what a difference it can make.
