Is there a tag on the transmission somewhere?

I can tell you it's a 722.3. If you wnat the full serial number for the transmission, you can get it a couple ways:
In the right side (passengers side) of the transmission case itself, just above the oil pan, it is stamped into the case. You may need to clean the area off to read it.
If it's the original trans, you can also get it from the blue paper stuck to the inside back cover of the maintenance manual (or warranty book, could be either), or a dealer can run a VMI on the chassis number, that has the trans number also.
