I would like to know why the car is stalling. When the car is stopped, the engine stalls intermittently. There is also an intermittent belt squealing. When the engine was revved, the noise became higher pitched so I am wondering if this is related. Would also like to know how prohibitive the cost for the repair would probably be.

Something like this happened to me last year. I think that I needed a new fuel pump governor and fuel pump and plus I threw in a tune up, meaning new plugs, fluids, etc.

I think my tech charged me $300 for everything, but the pros would be able to diagnose it better than me.
