I am wondering if there has ever been produced a w124 model wagon, with a diesel and 4-matic. My friend bought the '92 300D and I love it, but I need a wagon to replace the Volvo, and would use the all wheel drive in the mountains. In my opinion, this would be the ultimate car. Thanks for the replies.

Not for the US market, only 300E & 300TE 4-matic here.

Mine too! I wanted an awd deisel too but MB doesn't make one for US consumption....Sigh... |
Yes, sigh, this would be the ultimate auto for my needs. I had to choose between diesel and AWD. I think I'll be happy with my choice and just keep good snow tires and chains for the real winter time adventures.
P.S. I'd like a trailer hitch too. -Mike '87 300TD [This message has been edited by msyoder (edited 08-19-2000).] |
MBUSA in their self proclaimed, infinite wisdom, withholds many desirable models from the US Market.
We have finally gotten them to give us a manual transmission sedan again, now we can start harping on them to get some of the other models over here that their customers want.
