Rust spreading under the 36 in? black end to end plastic ledge/licence plate lights holder combo(what is this piece called technically anyway?).Been looking for a replacement on ebay.

while another said his w124 lid only fit 85-89 and will not fit my 92.

Does any member know whether the trunk lids of w124 are interchangeable fitment wise(not colour wise)
I am esp interested in the newer w124 with the central shorter chrome/metallic 18 in licence light holder which does not seem to rust or trap salt?

They are interchangeable. So are the hoods.
