CD Changer Intermittent problems - Check your H/V setting carefully

Seen lots of stuff posted on various intermittent problems with CD players.

I too had problems, mine manifested by periodically the CD changer stopping (even in mid tune) and reporting NO CD. Remove and replace the cassette and all was back to normal.

Last weekend I removed the changer, to check and see if there was dirt etc. I noticed that the switch that changes from H (horizontal) to V (vertical) mounting also had two detents part way between, and my changer was set to the detent closest to (but not on) V. I changed it to "V" since my unit is mounted Vertical, and haven't had a problem since.

Don't know how it got set this way, but happy to have it fixed.

Dave
