I want to use a hitch mount bike carrier. The trunk mounted type are not stable enough and left an imprint in my paint.

E55 KEV,...I want to use a hitch mount bike carrier too. Did you install it? If you did,...How it is working out for you? How much did it cost?

Hidden Hitch
E55 KEV,...I found a hitch that works with E Class. Is made by HIDDEN HITCH, Model # 90648. I had it installed for $215 with no wiring. Wiring will cost another $130. The hicth is a Class II (3500 pounds).

DuqueAlva
so did you mount this specific hitch on a E55 or another e class model? |
E55,could tow the devil out of hell, with his angels, but unitized body is where,a heavy trailer could pull the car in half.

What I am trying to figure out is if DuqueAlva that said he installed a hitch with 3500 pound capacity... what model is this, and where did he buy it... I am desperatly looking for a class 2 hitch....
not worried about the car taking it... Quote:

I've had the Westfalia towbar and Westfalia Portilo bike carrier on my W210 E300 since 2009. They are both outstanding! Actually thanks to a kid texting and driving plowing into my bike carrier, I now also have a modified Portilo frame that carries a single bike.
The removable towbar is completely invisible when detached and so solid it destroyed the front of the Camry that rear ended me but my car never got a scratch. I've also towed a fully loaded trailer including motorcycle cross country and everything was solid the whole way. With sales and the exchange rate you can have one shipped for only slightly more than the average wobbly Kuat setup. https://instagram.com/p/1EleDknmbO/?taken-by=ltmq Modified salvaged carrier. https://instagram.com/p/UNUgDAnmcp/?taken-by=ltmq Cross country move. https://instagram.com/p/FkW-5/?taken-by=ltmq Freshly installed. |
