hard start anytime
 

I have been on the same cruisade as many of you to stay up with keeping my 89 560SL in great condition. I have 120,000mi and just finished with the following.
Timing chain/guides, cap/rotor, spark plugs/wires, fuel injectors/fuel pres reg/fuel filter/accumulator/fuel pump check valves/cold start valve/idle control valve/O2 sensor, motor mounts, ABS speed sensors and climate control module along with a host of various switches, lights knobs etc.
My question to the forum is this. Before all of the above my engine would fire up within secs of touching the key. It now takes several cranks hot or cold before it starts. Ocationally I have noticed that no matter how long I crank the engine as soon as I let of the key the engine will try to start then die. On the next crank it will run but seems to be flooded at first. I am at a complete loss on this problem...HELP if you can!!!

I have been meaning to post this for some time but anyway... he problem was fixed when I installed a new ignition coil.
