how do I know which trans filter to get?

The car is a 1987 420SEL.
The two options are the...
722.355 or the...
722.324

Where can I find this number on my car?
Thanks
David

David, the number should be stamped on the right (passenger)side of the transmission body just above the pan gasket.

And it doesn't even matter as all 722.3 trannies use the same filter: 126 277 02 95.

Fastlane asked, so I didn't want to order the wrong part.

P.S.
What is the time frame that things can be sent back to Phil? I know he charges a restocking fee, but I bought a waterpump 3 weeks ago and don't need it.

Thanks
David
