Help my baby is sick!
I went over some railroad-tracks a little too fast and there was a left hand turn right beyond them, I had to take, and in the middle of the turn I heard a really load clunk. :(
The part I F-D UP is connected to the rear left tire. All I really know about this part is that it is plastic and it is broken. Now everytime that poor tire has to go over a small bump, or when I stop, or make a left hand turn the poor little guy goes clunk clunk. I know it is not good to be driving on it, but circumstances require me to do so. I need to get this fixed soon! Can you help me?!? I need to know what I did, what the part is called, and where I should get it. Also anything else you might think would help me. PLEASE HELP ME FIX MY BABY!!!!!!!!! :confused: By the way... Well, for sure, your pink baby does not have any plastic parts connected to your left tire. You have to be more precise.

I think the plastic that she is speaking of is the cover for the lower links.

Thank yall so much for helping me out! And if someone can explain step by step how to fix this myself I would love to give my brother and my boyfriend a break. They are so sweet to always do my mechanical work. You know help out the poor little girl so she doesn't hurt herself. :rolleyes: But I really love to work on my car, and if yall could help me out I'd really appreciate it! |
Replacing would basically involve unbolting the broken pieces and reattaching the new part. You should have a torque wrench to get the bolts to the correct tightness. In general, you will have to slightly jack up one side or other of the back end of the car to get the new part to align the bolts with the holes. You may also have to remove a wheel.
If you have never done any of this, I highly recommend you have someone competent oversee the process. Working under a vehicle presents lots of dangers. Steve |
