Cool fast idleing 84 500 sel euro version

I have a 1984 500 sel that is idling fast around 1500 rpm and stays thier, I unplugged the idle computer no change, could it be a vacum problem, if so do you have a vacum diagram for a eruro version car, or what else could it be? I also checked the linkage it appears to be fine, no hang ups or binding, ifi I undo the linkage still no change.
any help would be appriciated
Thanks, Jens

I believe that unplugging the controller sends your idle to that rpm range. They designed the idle speed adjuster to fail safe, meaning if you loose your controller it will still run, just at 1500 to 2000 rpm. At the adjuster check for 5 vdc.
