ICV breather hose
I replaced another one this weekend, this time on a 91 300e I'm trying to revive, and I did it a different way. I loosened the wiring harness tray & disconnected the various plugs. Then I pulled the breater hose & plastic barb connector out of the housing below the fuel distributor. After removing the old hose I soaked the ends of the new one in hot water from my instant hot water dispenser for about one minute. Attached the new hose to the plastic barb connector, and then the other end to the Idle control valve. Both ends were pushed on pretty easily. Then I pushed the plastic barb, with the hose on it, into the housing below the fuel distributor, reattached the other breather hose to the ICV, & installed the ICV. Was pretty easy & didn't have to try to worm my fingers where there wasn't enough room. While I had it out I cleaned the ICV and got some soot out of there.
