lowering a C36

What is involved in setting the ride height to Euro-height.
I would prefer to do it the way the factury does it and was wondering what parts and labor would I be looking at.
Alternatively, if I go the aftermarket route what would this involve?

You could just swap out your spring pads (to the #1) that would lower your car maybe 1/4 to 3/8th. The other option would be to replace your springs with some aftermarket springs like H&R, that would put you roughly at euro ride height (1.3-1.5").

I ran H&R's with one coil cut and this is how my C36 sat with 18" wheels.

ride height

thanks for the info and pic!

when these cars were shipped to the U.S., the only difference between the ones for europe were the spring pads then?

sorry for these "newbie" questions.

I am not sure, the spring pads are really used for alignment purposes, not for lowering so I don't think that would be the case (US vs. Euro ride height). The euro spec most likely uses different springs.

On older Porsches, the suspensions between the two were identical and the Porsche factory installed very large/thick washers to raise the ride height of the car. The washers were the first item removed from these cars when people bought them.
