Changing interior air filter

I have a 1997 E300Diesel and I am trying to change the interior air filter. It has a set of charcoal and paper filters. I need to remove the glove compartment to gain access to the paper filter but so far after several attempts at removing all the screws I just can't remove the glove compartment. Anybody with advice. Thanks.

After removing all 6 screws you must pry the top of the inner liner down to remove the complete glove box.
