Turnsignals not working.

Hello all,

Need some help. None of my four turnsignals work, nor do the arrows in the instrument cluster light up. Also tried the hazard switch on the console and it doesn't do anything either.

What should I check? Where is the flasher unit? Does a mercedes even have a flasher unit?

Thanks in advance,

Does the horn work? Check the fuses.

Yes the horn works and there aren't any blown fuses. There also aren't any fuses that control only the turn signal lamps. I did notice today since it is raining that the intermittant wipers don't work either. Low and high works, and the washer works. I am assuming though since the hazards don't work either that the problem is not in the turn signal stalk and that the wiper problem is a seperate problem.

Thanks,

Rob

I'm not familiar with your particular model, but sometimes there are sattelite fuses scattered throughout the car. Keep looking for the flasher unit.

If you accidently moved the four way flasher switch say by setting a drink on it, you can disable the turn signals if the flasher switch is between off and on. Turn it off/on to make sure it is fully engaged in the off position.

As I recall (it's been quite a while since I owned my 83 300TD) the blinker relay is a part of the 4way flasher switch.
