Euro Lights & PA inspection
question for anyone in PA who installed euro lights- I want to sell my old DOT lights since they're doing nowt but sitting in the basement, and was wondering if anyone had had problems with the PA inspection for having E code lights on instead of DOT?
The only reason I've kept them is incase the euros make me fail the inspection and I have to put the old one's back on for it.

Provided that 1) the lights function; and 2) are properly aimed, most state inspections aren't overly concerned about the e-code lights . . . unless you have an inspector that knows Mercedes!
I suppose it could be worse, in Germany they have to keep all their TUV approvals and have the proper ABE numbers for all the aftermarket parts. |

I'll probaly get my usual tech to do my next inspection, hopefully he won't fail me on them even though he knows they're euros! I should just ask him about it nect time I'm in I guess.
I'm actually used to the UK m.o.t. test, which is a killer if your car isn't in shape. For the diesel I had b4, they rev the engine to maximum speed 5 times or so for the emissions test. I though the engine would fly out the car any second... Crazy to think I could fail here though for having lights that are safer than the originals!
