My parents have a 123 300TD. The shift interrupt switch is acting up, the one that prevents the starter from beeing engaged if the transmission is not in P or N. How much trouble is it to change this switch? I have been told I will need to remove the trany since the switch is on top. Is there an easier way?
Thanks. Mark. |

The switch is different depending on year and transmission. All of them are relatively easy, none require removing the trans. The switch surrounds the selector shaft, just follow the shift linkage.
