purge valve cost slk 230
 

I just got a new purge valve installed, it cost 70 for part and 170 for labor. total 253.00 did I get taken? Also I have a blinking low gas light that goes on once and a while like a strobe light. when I have lots of gas...... anyone know why it is doing this?

When the reserve lamp blinks on a 1996 & later car there will an evaporative system leak.
Was the labor charge broken down into diagnostic time & repair time? Part price was OK but labor was a BIT too high.

What was the original problem & check engine code?
