I DISCOVERED THAT MY RIGHT WHEEL EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE IS RUSTED TIGHT AT THE POINT THAT IT ENTERS THE PROTECTIVE RUBBER COVERING FITTING(AT THE "C" RETAINING CLIP). ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO BREAK IT FREE? IF THE REAR CABLE HAS TO BE REPLACED, ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL IT?

Spray some penatrate oil(WD-40) and let it soak in real good. Give it plenty of time to do its job. And by the way,it's not an emergency brake. It's a parking brake. Try stoping using your "emergency brake".Good luck. Bill Lewallen Lex.Ky.

Don't waste your time trying to get it freed up. Remove wheel drum/disc and disconnect the cable from the actuator and remove the whole thing from the backing plate. I would replace it as if it's as rusty as you describe, it's probably on the weak side.
