Allignment problem?? HELP

I recently purchased a '00 C230. It has a tendancy to wander when I'm driving 60+ mph on a straight road without me touching the steering wheel. Thinking it needed allignment, I took it to my MB mechanic and had him do a 4-wheel allignment. He said it was within specs, so that didn't help.

I took it back and he tightened the steering, which helped, but it still wanders. I think the front wheels have some play in them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

M-B dealers have a TSB ( Technical Service Bullettin ) on that very subject.
Straightline stability problem.
It suggests " revised " alignment settings, as well as checking lower balljoints & controlarm bushings.
