The front should be approximately 1mm lower than the roof panel. The rear should be approximately 1mm higher than the roof panel. It is adjustable, although I have never done one of the glass sunroofs on an MB. On VW's there are appearance panels on each side just below the glass panel. You just unclip them and slide them rearward. Then you can see the adjustment bolts (TORX in VW).

I heard a dealer mech talking about "reprograming" the sunroofs by opening the roof, then closing and hold the switch in the closed position for 5-8 seconds after the roof closes. I have no idea if this works, but give it a try and let us know. Ed

OK but do you know what's next ? reprogram in what way ?

Ed Richardson 09-07-2000 04:40 PM

Sorry I was too brief. That proceedure supposedly reprograms the computer that opperates the sunroof and what else I don't know. It is possible that your car is not equipped with this "reprogramable computer", but I thought it was worth a try. Ed

Only 1998 & later cars with 1 touch operation have "memory" & might have to be reprogramed. The basic sunroor adjustments aren't really DIYer. There are many adjustments on sunroof alignment.
