Wow!!! I am so unlucky at the moment!!
I have just noticed, about 3 times out of ten when i put my car in reverse, it stalls. It doesn't matter if the engine in cold or warm.
Is this bad??
I hope not!!

Thanks
Oliver

3 out of 10 isn't too bad, :D :D :D. Seriously, does it ever stall going into drive? If not, then don't use reverse. :D, it's broken.

It has happened in drive a couple of times, but only when the engine is cold. Yesterday I drove to work on the motorway, the engine was warm, I tried to reverse into a car parking space, and it just died. I started the engine again, and when i engaged reverse, I could feel it starting to wobble.
My gearbox isn't going is it??

Oliver, I don't think this has much to do with your transmission. Sounds like your engine is bogging down with the load placed on it by engaging the tranny. May require an idle speed adjustment. I would suggest a good diagnostic run at a Benz dealer, but from what you have been saying, that might get pricey. Could also be dirty injectors, some form of fuel starvation, plugs, dirty air filter, bad gas,...you get the picture. Could be many things. Check the plugs, check air filter, dump some injector cleaner in the gas. Take the car for a aggressive run in the country, in other words, go through the inexpensive stuff first.. Good luck...
