brake cleaner question...

Hi All,

When I use brake cleaner, are there certain places to avoid? That is, caliper pistons maybe?

Also, what sequence should I bleed the brakes?

thanks,

Furthest from the master cylinder to closest. For LHD cars that's usually RR, LR, RF, LF. Depending on how ABS complicates the plumbing, it could be a different sequence. I wouldn't worry about it.

keep brake cleaner off the paint. and don't breath in the fumes, wear gloves to keep the cleaner off your hands

you can get brake cleaner on calipers, pistons and discs, any part of the braking system attached to the hub can withstand brake cleaner. usa an old toothbrush or like to scrub dirt off metal surfaces

obviously - don't open your bleeder screws and spray brake cleaner
