123 gas damper checking
 

Probably seems like a dumb question but... I have forgotten how to test a gas damper, have taken one off (front) of a 123 series which is an aftermarket make.
When fully compressed by hand should it return immediately to max length as would an oil filled type? This one takes a few minutes??

That's how I ended up with my wife. :D

Looks like a pair of new ones then, who knows if those for a 124 will fit or do they have struts??
