Clicking noise coming from glove box area possibly connected to climate control?

I have a 190E that just recently started making this clicking noise like crazy from an area around the glove box. When you change the set temperature it goes away until the temperature in the car gets closer to the set temperature. I know it usually will click about once or twice every minute, lately it has been clicking like 3 times a second. Any idea?
