Question Two questions about my 'new' 300E

On my 'new' 1991 300E:
If there is one thing that I hate it is the damn seat belt warning buzzer when I start the car. I want it to go away...far away... I've done this on other benz's but never on one w/ an airbag. How do I get rid of this severe annoyance w/o disabling the SRS (the airbag won't fire if yr not buckled up sensor)? I don't mind the buzzer telling em that I left my lights on, but I would like to disconnect the belt warning wire.
#2: The aftermarket hood pad is not sticking to the hood as it should. What sort of adhesive should I use to get it to stay up?
Thanks all!
-Matt-

Somewhere underneath the driver's seat there's a two (I think) prong wire in vicinity of the seatbelt latch. Unplug it.

Use the 3M adhesive, either spray or contact. The spray is great but beware: it gets all over everything so cover EVERYTHING with an old blanket, sheet ... newspaper or something.

With either, you should apply to both surfaces, let dry and then join together.

Put your seat belt on It prevents you from becoming a projectile flying out of your windshield in case of impact

Assuming that he wears his seatbelt, the buzzer will still sound if the seatbelt isn't buckled when the key is turned to the "on" position. Some of us buckle up after we start the car!

The buzzer is behind the instrument cluster.

It is a black box, the size of a cigarrete box. WWhat you want to do with this info is your decision...

Red face

My car never moves unless all occupants are securely strapped in. If you don't like seatbelts you had better wear good shoes, 'cause yr walkin. Only belt you need then is to keep your pants up. I hate the buzzer because I have a habit of starting the car immediately and then messing w/ the radio or looking for something in the console before I buckle up and mash the accelerator. And for those that have severe phobias of being upside down in the car with flames licking their face and the seatbelt stuck, there is a stratigically placed belt cutter and window hammer. (One of my frequent passengers had to be cut out of a belt once, but that was in a honda. ) I don't mind the buzzer for the lights I'll just remove the seat connections.

Is anyone else neck deep in stereo wiring diagrams that look nothing like the wiring in your car?!?! MB always has to over complicate (or "over engineer" if your in a better mood) everything. #@$$%@$&*@@$%@$&&@$@$&(*

i turn my car on, (right now its acting up and i cant!! ) and while the oil pressure goes up and the fan starts to blow air (fan stays on auto) and the engine settles to a set idle, i put on my seat belt, change the cd etc.

i try to not start the car and go. i give it about 30 seconds of me doing "stuff" before i leave.
