sunroof motor out of phase
 

My 1990 300te sunroof got it all wrong. It is confused about where it is so when I try to close it it stops halfway, and I have to pull the knob the other way in order to continue. This way it is hard to know when it is fully shut...

Any tricks or easy solutions?

I beleive there's a procedure to resync it. Do a search, you'll probably find it.
