Doesn't anyone check the basics anymore? A muriad of different failures can cause that code (brake light fuse, stop lamp switch, nuetral safety switch, impropper adjustment or broken accelerator cable, missing throttle return spring, throttle stop unlearned etc.....) I suggest you go through the motions before you replace an unneeded $1800 part.

Car is driving fine. Checked codes again. Got the following:

DM Code 1
HFM Code 1
EA/CC/ISC
Code 5 (Stop Lamp Switch)
Code 7 (Can Databus: Message from EA/CC/ISC control module faulty/reception from engine control module faulty)
Code 14 (CTP Switch)

What is the function of the Stop Lamp Switch and the CTP switch?

Checked the codes again:

DM code 1
Pin 8 code 1
Pin 14 code 1

All look good. Car runs fine.

I had reset the codes the last time, after a week or so, everything seems to be fine.

Maybe after changing the ECM, the EA/CC/ISC module needed sometime to start communicating properly.

You can clear the module memory after code stored clearing by holding the led/sw for 6 sec. after each 1 Flash appears.
Then you turn key OFF for 2 secs, back ON for at least 10 secs., then Start the engine .
This clears modules Memory.
